Insurance

Collegiate Caregivers will, at all times, maintain the following insurance policies:

General Liability: Coverage includes bodily injury and property damage, personal and advertising injury, as well as miscellaneous medical payments to others.

Professional Liability: This coverage affords protection against claims for injuries arising out of acts or omissions of a professional nature including any negligent act, error or omission, actual or alleged, which arises out of the rendering of or failure to render a healthcare related professional service, within the scope of service.

Hired & Non-Owned Auto: Liability coverage for claims regarding autos you hire or do not own that are used within the scope of service.

Caregiver Bonding: Coverage for loss or damage to money and other property that is owned by the client with whom you are under written contract to perform services on the client’s premises, and which results directly from theft by an employee.

Quality Assurance

Collegiate Caregivers has deployed a quality assurance program that utilizes some of the same best practices used in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Hospitals. Each client has an Individual Service Plan (ISP) meeting with your local Collegiate Caregivers Administrator upon enrolling in services, 30-days after services begin, every 3 months thereafter, or more frequently upon request. The ISP meeting can be held in-person or via teleconference. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the care being provided with the client and anyone else the client would like involved in the process. This is your opportunity to give recommendations and review the services being provided by Collegiate Caregivers. In addition our Director of Nursing frequently reviews each client’s ISP and gives recommendations based on her assessments. Invoicing

Invoicing is simple with Collegiate Caregivers by integrating it with our state of the art electronic medical records system run by an IPad located in each client‚s home. At the beginning of every shift a caregiver logs in to the IPad using a secure username and password. After logging in the caregiver is able to view the client‚s Individual Service Plan (ISP) with specific tasks that need to be completed for that day. Only after each task is completed or a progress note is written about why an task was incomplete can the caregiver then log out. This information is used to automatically process both our payroll and client invoices. Clients are invoiced on a weekly basis paying only for the time caregivers spend at your home with no need to ever pre-pay for service!

Scheduling

Scheduling services with Collegiate Caregivers is simple. We do not require any long-term contracts and you can change service schedules on a weekly basis if you would like. Collegiate Caregivers also offers emergency care services for unseen circumstances. We aim to provide the services you need, when you need them. Through innovations in technology your local Collegiate Caregivers Administrator can almost instantly notify your selected team of caregivers of available hours. The flexibility in working hours is what makes employment with Collegiate Caregivers so attractive to college students.
